Author Topic: Ghost in the Shell (I'm talkin' the 1995 movie because I'm an oldcigarette)  (Read 512 times)

Okay so first if you don't know what Ghost in the Shell is too bad I can't go copy paste links on the Wii I just watched it on.
Basically, without ruining everything (cuz boy howdy is this movie plot heavy) there are Cyborgs in the future and almost everyone on Earth has somehow or another had their brains and/or bodies somehow computerized, which obviously leads to problems. Also, existential things.
Side warning, there are a lot of robot boobies.

Anyway, I originally watched this movie back when I was 13 a few years after it came out (I really shouldn't have :x) and I liked it and all but some things confused me. But now, as an adult, I fully understand everything that is within this movie. The long little montage scenes really got me going on my usual thoughts of "each of these bodies has a life within living it's own story," and "we're all just really squishy computers." Now that I'm older and understand it, I feel like I really appreciated the movie a bit more and despite the thread title, I think I'll watch the anime sometime soon once I finish what I'm already watching.
Really, it's as Motoko says at the end: "I have no more need for those childish thoughts clouding my mind." My mind is that of a man now, and I can see.

oh wait this is a forum for a lego game what the forget am i doing.
