The fact that I have around 1800 posts, I usually use good grammar. And that I am 10 years old really rules out your whole point.
There would be a period after the word grammar, Dr. Spellright.
Not to mention that "And that I am..." would be "Not to mention, the fact that..."

Actually, I feel Americans are fine at understanding British humor. I have howled at Monty python's flying circus, and love John Edwards' bits on the daily show. I love misfits and have watched(and liked) many British comedies. And, many of my friends and elders have enjoyed the same things. And immediately after I read that quote, I knew it was fecetious.

Don't generalize us Americans.
