wtf is wrong with my steam?

i open counter strike source, try to look for a server and it says you need Steam Beta must be running or something. so i cant find any servers not even my favorites.

when i try to create a bot game with bots only it says:
CD Key Authorization invalid for servers.

what is going on?

so thats bullstuff, now i go to play gmod.
I start it up, and engine error:

NO STEAM APPS!
I went to my computer, and through steam and everything, there was a steamapps folder.
I see my friend playing CS:S, but I can't?
what is steam beta? somebody please help me

delete everything in your steam folder other than the actual application and steamapps

then open steam and let it update

see what happens
