Author Topic: Need help with laptop  (Read 1112 times)

DO NOT post information about your desktop when you need help with your laptop. I doubt they have the same video chipset. What brand and model is your laptop?
You couldn't figure out they were different yourself. You don't understand logic then he wouldn't still need help fixing it if he fixed it.

For your issue try to find information on what chip set you have most likely you can find this in the user manual if the laptop isn't a cheapy. Then just try to find the most recent drivers for your gpu. If this doesn't help and it still won't show just ignore it it won't affect you that much.

Your laptop should have came with a support code. Look around on the laptop's case for one.
Once you've found it, go onto the manufacturer's website, click the Customer Support button (something along the lines of this,) enter the support code, and it should come up with drivers, among other things, for the computer.

Yes I could, I just wanted to make sure he wasn't dual-booting.

That's why I don't like NVidia. They aren't always that bright.
You can try navigating this sea yourself, if you want.
Are you handicapped?

Of course it didn't work.  Nvidia drivers only work for Nvidia graphics devices, it's not a "one-driver-fits-all" thing.  Please don't give computer advice ever again.

I'm going on a limb to say your graphics adapter is completely broken and Windows' default display driver took over.
