The Story America is at war. It has only seen this enemy once before, and many, many American lives were lost. A kind of opponent that would break down any family, that would make a hardened soldier cry. An enemy that originally changed America forever. The year is 2050. The enemy, is ourselves.
World war 3 is over. America has lost. The entire western U.S. lays in ruins, with millions dead. America caused this war, and the world ended it. That day, a decision that would destroy the US was made. The day an embargo was placed upon America. It was nearly a worldwide Embargo, the only countries holding out on it where the Most of Africa and Venezuela. U.S. trade reached a new low- almost 78% lower than what it originally was. After 6 years, Poverty has stricken the nation. The second great depression, as some would call it. Unemployment rate reached up to 50%. American life expetancy dropped about 25%. If the south could be recognized as an independent country, then maybe, just maybe, they could gain world trade back. So that's when the south seceded from the union - for a second time. The southern U.S., defined by Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, declared neutrality upon the union, but America did not want to give up half their land and culture, so they went to war. Four years later, not much has been accomplish on the battlefield. With deaths totaling up to 600,000 so far, the war doesn't even seem halfway over.
You are Colonel William H. Snyder, commander of the 86th Connecticut, or the "Slash N' Burn" regiment. You are elite. Your regiment consists of 1,000 soldiers, 9 squads of 10, and within each squad, 2 Humvees with mounted .50 caliber machineguns. The primary armament of them is the M4A4. The last squad, are the elitest of the elite. They have a WT(Whittaker Technologies)-50 tank, that supports 2 people, a gunner and a driver, two snipers, 5 people with the best of the best training and weapons, and an engineer for the tank.
Your regiment was chosen to lead an attack against the south, crippling them in every way possible, burning down towns, killing farm animals, killing crops, etc. You and your regiment are on a fleet of aircraft carriers in the gulf of Mexico. So you have multiple different ways to attack. The objective: Capture the capital of Richmond, VA. You have one year to complete the objective, soldier!
Blue: Coastal attack. Will be very, very harsh, but quick. A lot of confederate resistance.
Black: Again, very harsh, but a quick route. A lot of confederate resistance.
Red: Harsh, but not as harsh as Black and blue. A lot of resistance, but not as bad.
Green: The easiest, yet longest way to go. There is still quite a bit of resistance. There is also a lot of rugged terrain that you need to mind your vehicles in.
