Well, I got all A's on my report card so now my dad is going to buy me parts to build a computer.

Now, I have two questions.
1: Are these parts compatible with each other?
2: Will I have to buy any other cables? (I.e. sata cables)

What do you plan to run with this?
If you want hardcore gaming, I'd get a slightly better processor.
If I were you, I'd shoot for the 3.4 ghz, or at least 3.2. Get a Black Edition so you can overclock it. o:

I'm not a hard core gamer I just need something better than the computer I have right now.
i'm just wondering if the parts will work together and all.

I'd go with this processor.

The Athlon II and Phenom II have different architectures and design, Phenom II being the better one. Same price, 0.1 GHz difference, but it'll just be a bit better. Works with your motherboard and all.
I also recommend throwing in an extra $25 towards your motherboard to get this one.

The main reason I'm only
suggesting it
is because it is larger than the one you have chosen, and will be easier for you to build. However, it's entirely up to you on this one.

Thanks, I took your advice and switched those two.

Looks good, don't try to run black ops on it though.
