Author Topic: The More I Look At This, The Worse I Feel About The Adoption System  (Read 461 times)

Yeah, I know.  Bawwbot.  But just bear with me.

They always day children are the future, but for some reason the only requirement to adopt is to be straight.  All you have to do to get a kid is put on a smile and be straight and bam, you have a kid.  Look at the top image.  They're gay, yeah.  But they look healthy, clean, responcible, and kind.  But they can't have kids because they're gay.  Meanwhile, an abusive, straight family is allowed to adopt.

If it was up to me, adoption requirements would be based on their money, their criminal record and health (more specifically mental.)  But it's not so all I can do is complain on the internet while society falls apart around us.

Discuss.  Let's see how a serious topic will go in these forums.

Don't feel bad about the system. I'm adopted, and I've been adopted into just about the best family I could've (unless, of course, it was possible to get adopted into some multi billionaire's family, which it probably isn't). stuff like that doesn't happen. Trust me. Families who are giving their children up for adoption screen the families they are giving the child to. If the gay couple didn't get the kid, that's because of the parent, not because of the system. I mean, you can feel bad if you want, but honestly I wouldn't. It's not very much of a big deal since stuff like that doesn't generally happen.

Bawwbot isn't a reliable source for statistics.  It is only there for you to baww, real or not.

Could this be real, probably not.  Do I know, sorry nope.

I thought the only requirement was to be straight.

Well, stuff.  I'm the op and I already got my facts wrong.

It sounds real, I here people ranting about gay adoption all the time where I live.

Adoption laws are all based on your state, so I don't know about where you live, but where I live if the rules were just being straight there would be SO many protests.

Yeah, it only depends on consent of both parents in my state.

Any gay or straight couple could be healthy, clean and responsible, or abusive.
It is rather unfortunate that such things happen all the same.
