Author Topic: Transparent textures  (Read 1058 times)

Whatever I do I simply cannot get transparent textures in Blockland. What material settings do I use in the Blender DTS exporter?

Haven't tried this, but try making the PNG partially transparent if you haven't already. I'll check the exporter settings to see if there's anything about it.

EDIT: Make sure "Translucent" is selected for the material. That should do it.

Hey demian.
Not to be naive, but have you tried this?

As I indeed know English, that was the first thing I tried and it didn't work.

And that doesn't work in Blockland.

Well, I guess you just have to do it yourself and UV texture it too. That's the only way I know.

Someone should really find a solution fast.

Make sure you check off ztrans, bring the alpha down to whatever you want, check off transluctive and additive.
On GIMP make sure you check off everything on the exporting as a .png.

As far as I know and from months of experience, none of the material settings apart from the name affect the exported material at all. So bringing down the alpha doesn't help. And why would I want to uncheck translucent since it appears to be the one that enables transparency.

Translucent addictive.

Set smooth the transparent object and it will look a bit better.

I trans'd a scope on my m16.
Testing to see if it comes out right.
