Author Topic: Windows Speech recognition typing  (Read 518 times)

I am using windows seven which utilizes windows speech recognition, and I messed around with it a bit, and realized that you can say what you want to type into text boxes, such as the reply and topic boxes on this forum, and it types it out for you. I also remembered that the voice recognition is crappy, and confuses words a lot. I will demonstrate by saying what I just said into another paragraph.

Now anyone else who has windows speech recognition, give it a try by replying by saying your post first than inserting what windows voice recognition typed.

Done that a long time ago.
But people thought i was creepy when i was using it

I don't have speech recognition, on account of not having a working microphone.
But I just wanted to say that yours didn't seem to have too much of a problem with it other than a couple of words.
Is it that bad or is it just it trying to work out your accent?
Or do you quieten down on some words, like "Forum"?

I guess I would you to set the speaker and a solo and I had a breakdown words lot but for some reason I did break down those all and if you can't sell I'm replying by saying my post first and it might sound kind of odd

Basically, I spoke slowly and tried not to rush to actually make it sound good, also thought what i was going to say ahead of time. However, it takes too much time, so from now on I'm just going to speak in my normal tone and speed.
