Author Topic: Im sorry badspot, but i can not host. So i need help.  (Read 845 times)

Ok, i have tried countless times to host. Port forwarding and UPNP. Nothing works at all. Is it because i have no 2nd DNS server? I read everything carefully, and follow all the steps, and my router continues to be a bitch. Tell me something. Tell me what to make sure of. Tell me anything you can to help me. I have a Netgear WNDR3400 model, and Dell inspiron 17R. Help.

Same problem here :C

You have portforwarded your router AND your computer, correct?

First off make sure if you have the ports forwarded you have UPnP disabled on blockland, with both on it will not work. Second, make sure your computer firewall isn't blocking blockland from hosting.

Also if you're 100% positive that your ports are forwarded correctly download the Port Checker and check the ports, if you have them forwarded correctly but they still aren't open something else is blocking it.

Stop trying to answer with crap, dude.  You can't "Forward" your computer as it, itself, is not a type of internet transceiver that has the ability to be port-forwarded.  If it could, you wouldn't need a Router or a modem.

WHAT?! Are you kidding me! I have been trying to forward this computer for AGES!

When UPnP support was first introduced, I remember there being issues if you had UPnP and PortForwarding done, I'm not sure if this is still an issue.

I'd suggest enabling UPnP on your router, disabling any port forwarding rules to do with blockland and enabling UPnP on blockland.

Disregarding the fact that port-forwarding isn't the issue, the router is working fine and the correct options have been enabled.

Make sure you have Blockland.exe set up as an "exception" or similar in whatever firewall you are using.

Don't use port-forwarding and UPnP at the same time. That is probably the problem. First, go into options>network and disable UPnP, then try it with just your port-forwarding settings. After that, disable your port-forwarding settings, and try it with just UPnP.
