Author Topic: Help, my android phone cant find my music  (Read 845 times)

So I rooted a long time ago, and finally got around to flashing cyanogenmod to my evo.
Android 2.3 is loving beautiful and fast... except for two missing music files and my playlists.

Default music app, Google music, and winamp portable cannot find my playlists and two songs on my phone. File Expert file manager can find and open the mp3s and probably the playlists even though I don't know where they are.

Any ideas? I've rebooted and scanned for new media and remounted the sdcard

no

pay attention

pay attention? what you said was this:
evo.
So there is 2 different evos, 4G and 3D, at least give more details before you go pushing buttons.

Anyways back where I was going to say, I never use google music on my evo, I only use the default music app and amazon cloud player, so ask the phone company?

You're right, I could've made it easier, but the evo 3D has 2.3 by default.

Anyway,  default music app doesn't show it.

That is weird what you have, all of my music stuff is normal, my problem what I have on my phone is the widgets, the text and wording is buggy when you're on the home screen.

I'm planning to take my evo 3d back to the sprint store and see what they can do. (thats my only advice currently)

lol, I voided my warranty by rooting it.

I can just essentially go back in time to 2.2, but the benefits outweigh the downfalls.

Oh.

probably the playlists even though I don't know where they are.
are you sure the playlist files are even on the SD card?
are you able to format the SD card or will it forget up the root?
have you could tried deleting the files and putting them back on again?
