Author Topic: Server Broke (5th Time)  (Read 405 times)

The usual: Server is working for a good long while and it gets borked for a while.

It's a damn pattern, and I'm REALLY tired of it.

UPNP is always unchecked, and I still don't trust port-forwardng as one of the early BL updates allowed players to host without forwarding.

/Help

If you plan on hosting without port forwarding then no one can join while the ports are blocked.  It's safe to have UPNP enabled on both Blockland and your router.  I can guarantee that no one will try hacking you through the ports Blockland uses.  Think about all the other people that host with their ports open!  :cookieMonster:

Hey, webservers require port forwarding too. How many times have people successfully hacked Google?

So I need to enable UPNP and that's it? If I really need to port-forward, I think I'll wait till' this pattern stops a month from now.

It won't ever stop unless you enable UPNP, assuming your router supports it.
