Author Topic: mission editor rain  (Read 761 times)

I want to make a vid, but I want it to rain. And dustlands seems to me to be the perfect map for the vid, except that it doesn't rain. I found a tutorial on how to make it rain on the forums, but it required a few downloads and such, which the links are now deleted. Is there any other way to effectively make it rain?

Go into mission editor and go into world editor creator and create an instance of precipitation.
It should be in the environment section.

I tried that, but the only option there was snow. Is there any way to make rain an option there too?

The default precipitation is rain - is it not?

I don't spend most of my time on Mission Editor but try using snow and change the snow texture to rain droplets.... If that's possible

I'll try to figure that out...
But no, the default isn't rain apparently. There's snow, and snowA

Find a map that already has rain, open the .mis file, and look for rain.

ok, how do I open a .mis file? lol

Oh nvm I figured it out

hmm, I did that, and I copied anything even concerning rain/precipitation into dustlands .mis, and I copied the rain png and things into my map folder, but now I just won't load. :/  I'm starting to lose hope on this vid I was going to make lol
