Actually, people do learn from videogames, or they think they do.

Friends try to tell me about guns from what they "learned" in call of duty.

"The bolt action rifles are more powerful than semi-auto rifles because they fire slower."

I swear to god a kid said this to me.

"The only way to kill a guy in one shot is in the head"

Again.

Black Ops has the same story as any other CoD.  "HURR DURR THERE IS A BIG WEAPON AND YOU MUST SAVE THE DAY."
Actually, it's more like this. You're in some super secret spy group, and you have to shoot enemies that can't even aim. The big bad guy has some big missile, and you have to get a rocket launcher to return to your probably already dead family, and see the boom boom!

FPS games are bad.

The only RPGs I play are Fallout series, Oblivion, and soon to be Skyrim.
