Author Topic: I'm having some issues with New Vegas on steam, is this normal?  (Read 3059 times)

FNV is somewhat buggy, sometimes I fall through terrain, unable to move.
But it sounds like your screwed for now.

Couldn't you verify the game cache or would that not help at all in this case?

Tony is offline now.

Oh alright, well, I think I found your problem.

The User's a computer inept smart ass. Why should I even bother trying to help.

How was I being a smart ass? I was showing you what the loving problem was.

Couldn't you verify the game cache or would that not help at all in this case?

What does that do?

is it like this or do you just instantly get on it if you touch it?

I instantly get on if I am right on the edge and then move forward by an inch. Or just by running into the object itself.

From what you've said so far, you have a system with far below the minimal system requirements for the game with only 1 GB of ram and some archaic ATI gpu. There is nothing wrong with the game, your terrible computer is at fault and you will not be able to run New Vegas.

"Released in 1999"
2011-1999=12 years old.
I typo'd that. Not a major big deal.
Either way. He doesn't meet the requirements and blames Bethesda.

you will not be able to run New Vegas.

I actually can run New Vegas with out lag on medium settings. I only lag if explosives go off in areas that have a lot of misc items on the ground.

I've only had two issues and that's the dog eyes and walking over objects.

Either way. He doesn't meet the requirements and blames Bethesda.

Only in RAM. I've been able to play pretty smoothly regardless of my 1GB ram.

Not sure if this is an issue but I'll mention it anyways.

In Fallout 3 if I went in buildings like Springvale High School and killed all the raiders the bodies will stay there, untouched and will never disappear.

In Fallout New Vegas if I go into a building, kill some people and then wait over time the bodies will disappear.

I think in FO:NV the bodies disappear after a (in-game) day except for bodies that are there for scenery

That's stupid. I liked it better in houses where stuffloads of dead people are there.

i double checked on google and killed some stupid guards in the game myself, sometimes it takes 2 days sometimes they stay for a very long time. maybe it depends on what video settings you have?
