TF2 Screen Resolution Problem

I wanted to play TF2, but it wasn't starting up correctly, and I couldn't get out of it. So I shut down my computer manually. I rebooted it, and my screen resolution was forgeted up. Any solutions?

I'm using Vista. I'm not the computer nerd, so I don't want to sound pathetic, but how would I do that?

Just go into control panel, go to Appearance and Personalization (Thats on 7, but it should be the same on Vista), cick adjust screen resolution, then thats it.
