Author Topic: what can I do with this computer  (Read 517 times)

I am using this computer right now
I would like to play Fallout New Vegas but I don't think that is much of an option
that can you run it thing says that I need 2GB RAM to play it, and it says I have 1.9GB
it also says that I need at least a GeForce 6 series GPU, but I think that 6150 is in the 6 series
unless Nvidida uses some obscure way of naming their GPUs
that's all the website says that I don't have good enough to play it
so would I still be able to get by playing it
or what would be the most demanding game that I would still be able to run

Minesweeper  :cookieMonster:

DxDiag, tell me your RAM in MB, if it's 2048MB then it's 2GB and the system made a mistake, 2000MB and that irons out t around 1.9GB

Usually lower end GPUs of the series count as a MUCH lower i believe on some systems.

But in all honesty that thing is aimed at business, you should save up and build a PC for better stuff.

That's an integrated graphics card, so it uses some of the RAM for the integrated graphics. And yes, they do use some "obscure" way of naming their GPU's.
A 7900 is better than a 6150, an 8800 is better than a 9400, etc. I think you get the point. The first number is just the generation.

That graphics card can barely play TF2 in DirectX 8 mode on lowest settings at 800x600, I know because I tried.

it also says that the GPU is the only reason I can't play Crysis

I think that I might just get a new video card sometime
because I really don't have enough money to just make a whole new computer

Implying that you have a video card.

Implying tat you have a video card.
I think that I do have a video card
I don't know what you mean

It's integrated, it's not a card, it's a chipset.

oh yeah, I forgot about that
looks like I wont be replacing my GPU
