there isn't really one specific reason, but for most people, its because the cartoon is such a higher quality then all other modern cartoons(if you haven't noticed, theyre horrible nowadays), and there is so much stuff that goes over the targeted audiences' head, its ridiculous.

I'm not talking about the MLP cosplayer alone, I'm talking about EVERYONE there who is cosplaying a character that they look nothing like.

There were only about 3 rainbow dash cosplayers there, 2 with hoodies and one with hair dyed like Dash's and a shirt with her cutie mark on it.

Take a trip down to Columbus, Ohio jan. 27-29th for the biggest anime convention on the east side of America, its called Ohayocon. Last year there were like 12000 people or something

Wow this con looks loving horrible. Like, completely deserted and uninteresting. Go to a real con like DragonCon, I went back in 2009 and it was the stuff.
