Author Topic: Why does everyone always think that dutch is german?  (Read 1171 times)

Cause Dutch is the sissy version of German.

German is the language of anger.
true enough
I know German and Dutch really does.

Look.

Not sound.
Not all of Japanese looks like Chinese but ok

Pretty much how Japanese and Chinese are.
Um, more like the different dialects of Chinese. Because Japanese and Chinese are nothing alike. But Mandarin and Gan or Jin, would be a good example.

Plus, if you are speaking in Afrikaans, people will think it is German too.

You probably mean Dutch. Afrikaans is like a rip off of Dutch, seriously. I can understand every word of it.

No, I don't mean dutch. Dutch is almost German. Afrikaans is almost Dutch. Thus, Afrikaans will likely be mistaken for the more famous language, German.

German is just a bit similar to Dutch. Afrikaans however really is a rip off of Dutch. May be because of the fact Congo was a colony of Belgium at one point in history and had Belgians over there, I dunno.

It's actually the language they speak in South Africa which was colonized by the Dutch! (The Netherlands beat Belgium AGAIN!)

It's sounds like someone put German into a blender that broke and got stuck on the Z's U's and T's.
