ITT megascientifical knows nothing about computers

listen, dude, you aren't booting the system files on the other harddrive. it's dormant and files on the old harddrive only activate if you activate them

plug it into your new computer and run malwarebytes or something on the old harddrive and it will find any viruses and delete them

the only way you can get the virus (if there is one) is if you activate the .exe files that are the virus manually

But it only happens outside of Safe Mode...
Well duh.

I explained why earlier, it's almost impossible for any virus or even programs to manage to get its way into Windows so deep that it will actually boot up WITH safe mode.

I've told him this many times over MSN/Steam, but he won't listen. Perhaps all he needs is a topic full of people telling him the same thing.
Nope, hasn't worked. :|

I had a rootkit that infected my computer. It's been ridden now.
It infected one of the main windows drivers and allows itself to run in safe mode.
After removing it, the next day I'm using Ubuntu!

we got a more specific error at random. Something about the drivers doing something bad that it caught and blue screened, putting it in kernel memory or some stuff. I told my sister to take care of it. Not they don't think they can, just like me. :/
