The one and only time I got a virus, on my old laptop. At least a year or two ago, when I was looking for some kind of software or driver (for this stupid thing I never did get working quite right), I was getting a bit desperate and ended up at a site which bombarded me with pop-ups. I soon started getting very suspicious research links on my desktop and AVG basically went "WHAT DID YOU DO"
