Fraps problems...

These problems are bad problems...
Problem 1:I dun know if i'm recording or not.
Problem 2:If I am recording, and go to check my videos, Suprise! they're 2 sec. long.
Problem 3:Fraps' recordings are giving me low quality.

I assume you have the demo.

You know you're recording if the numbers in the top left are red.
And you're videos are really short because you have the demo.

Also, if you do not see numbers, check your watermark settings in the Fraps menu to check it enabled. Two second videos usually means you need to reinstall it. I had the same problem and that fixed it.
