Author Topic: Custom PC build, would like some feedback; updated list in OP  (Read 1376 times)

Ah, I found the problem. You need to give people this link instead. That is your build, right?

It looks good, anyway. Can't really think of anything to add.

Yeah, that's it. It looks like you just removed the "s" from "https" to get that link, am I correct?

No, the original link was in the "mywishlist" something or other. I went to the public wishlist list, clicked on a random one, then pasted in the number from the URL that was in the original link.

Ah, okay, thanks.

I put the link to the wishlist in the OP for less confusion.

So, is there anything else that I need for my comp-- oh stuff lol I forgot a sound card. hmm, I have no idea what to look for in sound cards. Generally, how much do sound cards cost and could someone recommend one that doesn't raise my total price too much?

Motherboard has integrated sound already. You really don't need one unless you're an audio freak.

Oh okay, sweet. I'm learning quite a bit from this whole process, lol.

Y'know, I just realized that I don't know how to assemble it when it all gets here. I know how to put in the memory, HDD, CD/DVD drives, PSU (I think), but past that, I don't really know. Is there any soldering involved?

Definitely not. You just need a screwdriver and a bit of time and of course a place to work on it. Also, it might help to get an anti-static bracelet thing. Static electricity will outright fry most computer parts.

Also, motherboard always goes in first. After that it varies from case to case (hehehe), but PSU is usually last because those cords tend to get in the way a lot. First the parts, then the cords.

Awesome, thanks so much for all the help bro, I really appreciate it.

No problem, now I get to laugh at you when everything goes horribly wrong, hehehe.
