My water bricks aren't blending

Here, I have placed a water brick on top of a water brick.

Shouldn't the brick below be blending in with the brick on top?

Those don't look like default water bricks..

defaults are 8x cubes, those look like 6x
also, you can do it manualy with a wrench, just turn off rendering of the bottom one

Those are default 8x8s, the rest of the brick is on the outside of the wall.

Also I had no idea you could just do this manually, thanks.
