Author Topic: Is there any way to make a glossy screen matte?  (Read 1664 times)

The TV in my basement has a glossy as hell screen, and there is a big window behind the couch that faces the TV. It drives me loving nuts because the blinds only block a tiny amount of light, and I can barly see anything on games unless I turn the brightness up to cataract mode. Is there any way to help this without buying new blinds?

Paint over the windows.

My parents are loving cheap. They wouldn't replace them, even though the mechanism doesn't work too well.

Solution: Move the goddamn TV so the light doesn't reflect off it.

That is your only option.

Take a blanket and put it in front of the window. I don't have curtains in my room, just a huge dark blue blanket. Makes it so you can never tell what time of day it is. What time of year. Time of the week. It's wonderful. Seclusion and you don't know anything about the outside world.

I use a badass English flag to cover my window, I use a pirate flag for the other one c:

Just so we get and idea of what we are doing:

We have 2 cable jacks. The DirecTV box is using one, and my PC is using the other. I don't feel like taping a blanket over the window, because my mom would take that down, so I am gonna have to ask my parents if we can get better blinds.

Turn your house 180 degrees
its the only way.
