What is Zbot?

Today I found a file called "Zbot" windows said it was a virus, I removed it, what was it though? And, what could I have downloaded that contained the file, and how can I easily check if any of my files are infected?

i guess it can be called zeus also.
not sure how you can make sure its all gone.
