Is this just arabic, or is Google's translating skills bad?

What? That's not true at all.

Do you count French as "really foreign"?
"Hello" translates to "Bonjour", but "Bonjour" translates to "Good day".

English isn't common in some countries.

Google Translated the plaque with Latin words on top of the Oracle's kitchen door in The Matrix as "something yoga mats". Calm down now.

google was created in america, so english isnt counted as an uncommon language

Its still a dumb statement that really makes no sense. You can't classify languages as a little foreign a really foreign.

There really aren't any clear cut translations between languages.
