It says to put a command line argument in (it says so in the changelog). Where do I put this in? That black box-console thingy?

I believe it's done by editing a shortcut to the launcher, and adding it after the end quotation mark in the target field.

Shortcuts dont do jack stuff for me cause I run BL from a flash drive.

Take the main Blockland shortcut that you want to use, then click "properties".

Take note of "target", it should look something like this:
C:\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe

This will be where the launcher is located. Since you said in another post that you run BL from a flash drive, move the launcher onto the flash drive. Then, change the target as such, assuming the target is F:
F:\path\of\launcher\on\drive -profilePath "F:\path\of\launcher\on\drive"

Next, run the shortcut that was just changed. This will redownload all the default files to the flash drive. Once this is complete, copy all the files from the Blockland folder in Document into the installation location of the Blockland copy on F: . This will restore all your custom settings and add-ons to this new copy.

Now, you've got a copy running from a flash drive.

You have to do the same for every shortcut for the game and leave any "-dedicated" or "-dedicatedLAN" switches there.

Once you've completed this for every shortcut that you want to, just copy the shortcuts onto the flash drive.

Thank you. Ima check and see if this works.

I tried to set the path to my old Blockland directory and it can't write to it for some reason. I cleared all the read only flags, UAC has been disabled for eons, and Blockland isn't currently running.

I had that issue too, however it was a certain folder thought to be in use. I logged out, then logged back in (to the computer). It worked :/

Yay, I got it to work the way I wanted by dropping the Launcher into my program files Blockland directory then running it with the  command line argument -profilePath "./"

It would be nice if this were just a pref for the launcher we could change somehow instead of having to run Blockland from a shortcut to the launcher every time.

An external pref file is another thing that people can lose, overwrite, mix up with other files, or mismatch with the wrong exe version.  I went out of my way to make the launcher a self-contained executable.

Yeah I just realized how it would make no sense at all to store it to Blockland's pref file if the launcher would have to know the location of that directory in the first place to be able to check it. I guess I can work with the shortcut to the launcher, providing I don't accidentally start the launcher itself and cause a new Blockland directory to be created.
