Author Topic: Was Apollo 18 Really That Bad?  (Read 1162 times)

I was reading on Wikipedia, and it says;
Quote
The film has received mainly negative reviews from critics. On the online reviews site Rotten Tomatoes, the film was given a 21% "rotten" rating based on 57 reviews, with the consensus "A boring, suspense-free Paranormal Activity rip-off that feels long even at just 90 minutes,"[15] while Metacritic, which gives a standardized score between 0 and 100, gives the film a 24 based on 19 critic reviews, which indicates generally unfavorable reviews.[16]

Trailers tend to show the best parts, to sell the movie.

Never let someone else tell you about a movie. Reviews, being unbiased, pertain to the reviewer's tastes, and not yours. For example, Assassin's Creed received negative reviews for its poor story progression. I for one loved the game, not only for story but because it presented itself so well.

I saw it, it was freaky as stuff.

it's 'bad' cause all the reviewers compared it to paranormal activity

kinda like how IGN compares every game to COD/GTA

That makes sense in the worst way possible.

Just shows that the cancer killing the gaming market spread to the movies as well.

I saw the advertisements, it looked like a really good/scary movie, but I can't really judge it because I haven't seen it.

The moon-rocks are accutually spider aliens? Wat.

It really wasn't that bad.

I personally thought it was stupid.
