Author Topic: Can not play for more than 15 minutes at a time?  (Read 653 times)

Ever since I got blockland V20 and upgraded to rtb4, I have not been able to stay on blockland for more than 15 minutes without crashing and I'm not sure why this is. I typed trace(1); into the console so here is the console.log

Noedit: This was when I started a server.

I'd suggest just turning off RTB and playing for now.
I'm not sure what the problem is though, and I'm interested to see what it is.

Turn off server authentication in the RTB Options. It's something to do with some string limit and if you have too many add-ons it hits it.

I disabled client and server authentication and restarted blockland, but I still have the same problem. Perhaps it isn't just RTB related?

This and all other issues, including people not being able to join my server were fixed by deleting system_returntoblockland from my addons folder. I'm very disappointed that RTB was causing the problems and expect to see that issue patched quickly.

When you have a sec, try running only RTB with a default install of Blockland and see if it causes problems.

There seems to be some bullstuff Blockland OSX bug causing lots of issues which I don't think Badspot can debug easily. It seems to be related to the number of tcp objects being used. Blockland has a fair few by default, RTB adds more and that just seems to exacerbate a pre-existing issue.

Tl;dr not my fault
