Won our wrestling tournament :D

I've only been wrestling for about 3 weeks, and we had our first JV meet of the season today. It was a team tournament (IE one match per weight class) and the teams are moved along brackets, not individuals. We played against Charlotte High, Riverdale High (forget theyre good), Venice High, Palmetto Ridge, and Mariner (i think that's it) High. We beat all 5 teams, and faced Riverdale in the championships. We ended up getting first place and I got a medal :D

my school's football team got to the playoffs and then went and god damn lost on the second round

lol that happened to our varsity team. they went into playoffs and got blown out in the first game lol.

oh and notice that I said it was a JV meet. that doesn't mean varsity kids didn't wrestle. I got my ass kicked by the Venice varsity wrestler, but at the same time kicked the Mariner varsity wrestler's ass lol.

Personally I went 2-3, since I've only been wrestling 3 weeks so far.

I was the very first match of the entire tournament. Had to go up against Palmetto Ridge. I had him pinned twice, but the first time I heard a whistle from a different match and thought it was mine, so I got off of it in the middle of the match (huuuge derp), and the second one he was just barely out of bounds. I ended up winning by points, 8-2. The the Venice varsity guy kicked my ass in about 30 seconds from a head throw, but that kid was loving strong as hell. Charlotte guy was just a speedy little stuff and kicked my ass with points because I didn't know how to get out of a 2 on 1. Mariner varsity guy I kicked his ass in about 30 seconds with a snap-cement for a pin (he ended up almost starting a fight with me lol). Riverdale kid kept getting the upper hand on me and repeatedly did the same move that I didn't know how to get out of, ended up getting pinned.
