I dunno, it didn't seem as intense as mw2. It had less handicapped plot holes, but it was less intense. When they killed soap I cared way less than i did when they killed ghost and roach. The death was less dramatic and had little emphasis put on it. In mw2 the death was a turning point, where we figure out that shepard is the bad guy. In mw3 we know who we need to kill and why from the very start, so we didn't have the surprise twist. We learn a little backstory, but Not enough to give a stuff about anyone but price and soap.
