Author Topic: [HELP] Scoping/Reloading -Scripting- and What Joints in Milkshape  (Read 541 times)

Hey, i just started modeling on Milkshape 3D becouse i dont get Blender........

I know how to model things now, and i even made an addon based on the Sword script.
But now i want to make a Sniper    +Scope   +Reloading , but im having problems.
The model is actually great, and i know how to make the MuzzlePoint -Joint- and the MountPoint -Joint-.
I also know how to make animations, but here are some questions i like to have answers on.

1. What joint do i need to make for reloading?

2. What joint do i need to make for Scoping?

3. How do export the animation of reloading?

4. How do i script the Reloading process? All i want is just pull the clip out and back in.

5. How do i script the Scoping process

You can look at the picture bellow to give some better advise on where to place joints.

The questions are relative to each other as you can see. I really appreciate if someone can answer the questions. Im also new to the whole Add-on making part (I started modeling / scripting 4 days ago)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wish someone could make a site where they explain scripting very good / Make some scripts on a site (like: Scoping / Damage / Particles / Reloading etc.) so beginners can Copy/Paste all parts into one add-on (script).

Off topic: Someone got some good Texture Ideas for the picture bellow? i was thinking about Grey/White/Black or just almost everything Camo.

This is a good tutorial for how to script aiming down the sight of your gun...

And this is a good tutorial for animations in blender. Seriously, take the time to learn blender. It's an incredible piece of open source software. I've been using it for years.

As for scripting your weapon, I'm still trying to figure how to code weapons for myself... so good luck. And that's a pretty nice gun model, by the way.

Thanks for the tips!!!! Finally a respond too!
BTW, still thanks for the animation link, but i kinda knew that. It was more going about:
How to script.

If anyone has the reloading/play animation code, please feel free to paste a link or describe it!
