FRAPS does a pretty good job, provided that your CPU can handle it. It mostly relies on CPU, GPU and HDD speed, although I must admit that it's mostly CPU intensive.
I like the sheer amount of options you get with FRAPS. Compressed, uncompressed, resolution control etc. You can either have it full HD (as quality as it will ever get) or you could opt to have it record at 10fps on 640x480 if your computer isn't that great.
