Author Topic: How tricky is it to replace parts in a laptop?  (Read 339 times)

I have an Alienware M17 - never opened this thing up.
Is it hard to replace RAM in a laptop? I'm considering buying 4 gigs as an upgrade.
Also, would this RAM fit into this laptop?

Yeah,it would fit.
You sure? Alrighty.
And how hard is it to replace?

Well you would need to remove the original RAM first to get this one in,I would say it's fairly tricky.

If it's anything like every laptop I've replaced RAM in, you just unscrew/pop off a plate under it and install the RAM.

Yeah, RAM is probably the most easy thing to replace in laptops, it is probably easier than replacing it in a desktop computer.
