I've been having trouble with my flat-screen recently, and I'm wondering if anyone can help. When I bring my xbox up to play on it, (I normally play in the basement on a smaller screen) I find the controls seem slightly delayed. The first time this happened was when someone brought their xbox over and he had been complaining about the delay. We were playing system link so I had assumed it was just bad connection or something. Today though, I decided to play on the TV and I found there was slight delay there as well. I'm now thinking it's the TV itself, can someone prove me wrong or explain what the problem might be?

What type of flat screen is it? Plasma, LCD, LED, etc. Is the TV in the basement a CRT (fat and heavy)? Most flat screen TVs, especially cheap ones, have a delay from the time you give it input to when the image on the screen actually changes to that input.

Isn't there a slight delay or something if you have a certain HD TV? I heard about this before, but I've never experienced it.

The TV in the basement is a CRT, and I believe that my flat-screen is a plasma TV. Thank you for explaining a few possibilities.
