Ok, so shortly after terraria hit 1.1 and i got my new $180 graphics card for christmas (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161377) I have been getting some FPS issues on 1680x1050, when i used my 3870 it worked fine at a solid 40 fps on 1680x1050..

So after i installed my graphics card, updated the drivers, etc, i played some terraria, and it runs at only 20 fps now. i am like "what the forget mang" and its been a couple weeks after i installed this graphic card and the straw that broke the camels back is because i have to play in 800x600 now or i will lag like forget?


Why the forget am i lagging on a 2d game?

I would use a driver wiping tool to completely eliminate any graphics drivers, and then reinstall drivers.

Only Terraria?  Nevermind then, but now I think the best option would to contact their tech support/developer about it.  Check around their forums, or google something like "HD 6970 terraria low framerate".
