Can someone explain how cutting these taxes helps the nation? The rich can already afford pretty much anything, so wouldn't it make sense to tax them more?

It would make more sense to tax the rich and have smaller taxes on less fortunate families. Cutting taxes for everyone will just make the country worse.

there are already so many regulations that make a business in the states pointless to have. they need all the money they can get.

you are asking about corporate taxes, not the owner's income tax.

most corporations are hardly starving for cash - they just look for more ways to try and forget over the customer, like how verizon said "oh hey we're charging people $2 for every online transaction".
