Author Topic: Space Frigate Audaciae  (Read 2986 times)

Let's get something straight here; we're talking space age weaponry. If your ship lost its shield capability and got hit directly by starship munitions, it doesn't matter if the bridge is on the outside on the inside. You are going to lose half your ship in the explosion and be completely fried anyway. I would rather have a direct view of the battlefield via clean glass partition and binoculars in case of primary power failure than having my bridge defended by some extra bulk. And when I say "glass" I mean four-inch-thick battle grade transparasteel, of course.
Hey.
You.
Notice how it's in italics.
Because.

Sh*t!

*Retreats Audaciae from topic*

What will lower your momentum? Once you're going you won't stop unless something stops you. The argument that "if you run out you're dead in the water" is wrong, it should be "if you run out you have no way of adjusting your velocity"

Unable to adjust velocity basically means you're screwed. You're stuck at a constant speed with no way of slowing down or speeding up. And you are definitely not going to be going very fast using a mass driver unless you have a GIANT mass driver attached.

-snip-

Apologies, I took your italics to mean sarcasm, as in "Dude, your bridge is made out of glass. If you get hit there, you're totally forgeted." Once again I am smited by being unable to deduce tone from text XD Sorry!
