Author Topic: Petition for a General Electronics forum.  (Read 573 times)

If possible I would love these forums to have a General Electronics forum.

This forum would be used for information on how to fix computers, build computers, jailbreak Phones, have tutorials on how to do all of this stuff, Linux stuff ETC.

It's quite obvious there is plenty of content that could go in a forum like this and the object is not to take content away from OT but to encourage people to add different content you would not normally see in OT.

Also if possible it would be nice to have two sub forums, one for tutorials and one for electronic related problems. (Might encourage posting technical game problems here to keep that stuff out of the discussion forum for games.)

We should also have a news section, a forum games section, and a personal life section that way OT can be used for what its meant for! Oh wait.

i want a "offtopic-forum games" and "offtopic-sub groups/communities" sections as well.

weed out all the spam topics and pony stuff

forum games section
that's sorta Community Projects
although it seems to be more of just post them in whichever of the two boards you feel like

I think there are enough boards as it is.

I guarantee a ton of people barely leave Off-Topic, Games and Drama. The most underused boards are all in the Modification Discussion category and I don't even think people play AoT anymore.

Off-Topic is a fine enough hub.

I was being sarcastic...

to be honest I thought Badspot was trying to uphold some "five boards per forum" quota, but clearly that is not the case considering the new development board

I know
what I'm implying is that you're being sarcastic about something that actually exists

The problem with a sub group area is how would you know you have become big enough to make a topic there?
or would it be the mods just move your topic over there when it get big enough.

our community has dozens of groups, clans, sub-communities that have nothing to do with blockland the game.

i can already think of a dozen

I think this is a great idea, personally.

Why is there even an AoT Clan Discussion the game was underpopulated enough as it is, clans would have ended up as a circlejerk of 5 or so people that made up 1/2 of the online population.

why are there even AoT boards now?
does anyone still play that game

Man I don't even know if Badspot still hosts the server for it.
Also, Community Projects seems to be overshadowed by Creativity and Off-Topic most of the time.
