Air Control Mucking Up

Hello.
I'm just wondering is there a way to fix the air control bug that happens with double jump (once you jump the second time, you can't change direction).
I've been getting this a lot with the TF2 Scout pack recently and was wondering if there's a fix?

I dont think you are supposed to be able to change direction on the double jump tho.

I mean when I jump I just stop moving left right. No velocity is retained.
