When a train comes:
- Tracks vibrate
- There's a very loud noise
- Any crossings usually have some kind of lights. Any incorrect crossings usually have fence
- This big metal object hurtles towards you at 140km/hr
People have got hit by trains quite a few times in the past, but I know there's all these improvements to make trains 'quiet' but even so, getting hit by a train eludes common sense, unless train drivers have the habit of rapidly accelerating if they see someone up ahead.
As far as I can see, IUV is causing no more unnecessary suffering than the victim of the accident.
