Author Topic: The not weapon (weapon cant be selected in inventory)  (Read 1588 times)

well i modeled my first weapon, used a basic grenade-type script and was very pleased, until ingame the time came to test it and viola, when i switched inventory to that weapon my character wasnt holding anything, he didnt even have his arms up or anything... any clue as to what i screwed up?

k so it can spawn when i try to, and everything seems to go ok until i try and pull it out...
note: i do have expirence in weapon scripting... but i have never expirienced thsi before

this is now the problem again.. i do not know if the below problem still exists

ok so i managed to get it to fire and spawn and be used.. now the new problem has arisen that the weapon, when held appears as a grey box in the size and basic shape the weapon is, however once it is thrown it appears as hwo it supposed to
i did notice that the grey box si the same size and shape as the collisions for the object and now thsi has me stumped...
help please?

My weapon works perfectly excecept for that when it is held it appears as a grey box in the shape and size of the collision.

Make sure you didn't have "Create a visible copy of the collision mesh" on when you were exporting it from Milkshape.

but it looks normal when im holding it in first person or when i spawn it as an item or when i throw it
but when i view it in third person it looks like this

the weapon is messed up wiht the original problem again
and this time it doesnt appear to be a typo...
it (the console) says material01 is missing, which might be it, but my MS3D is being stupid and wont let me save or export
