1. There's a chance of stragglers, and the government just quarantining the area and then evacuating everywhere else, because we all know the government is so reliable.

2. It's modern times, which means you won't be using .77 ammo. Besides, .50 rounds are larger than your middle finger, and are used in sniper rifles. A .77 pistol would be using 0.77 inch thick rounds. That's so loving huge that if you had the ability to use that round in a pistol, you would either break your wrist, or the laws of physics. Or both.
