why cant you see YOUR textures

so i have my custom made textures but when i join servers i cant see them even tho they are set to read only and they work in single player or on MY server why are they not client sided

I'm pretty sure that brick textures are serversided since you can have server mods that change your brick textures.

Yes, sadly you will have to deal with the beautiful default textures.

someone should release a mod wich overrights the server sided ones and replaces them with your's(client sided)

Except you can't do that without modifying the exe.
