This was uncalled for.
YOU? ADHD?
forget i must have some bad defects then...

I was talking about the letter "H" in "HIV"
You would pronounce it "Aych-Eye-Vee"
Notice how the "H" begins with a vowel
This is true depending on accent.
Often times Americans don't get this because they have a lazy way of pronouncing words and letters.
Instead of pronouncing "H" as "Aych", they pronounce it as "Haych" and really pronounce the H in it.
Similarly, "Z" is pronounced "Zee" in an American pronounciation and in Britain it is "Zed".

But you couldn't say "A HIV". That honestly doesn't sound correct.
It would instead be "An HIV". But certain words can be "An" even if they begin with H, For example:
"An Historical account of the war".
In this case you don't pronounce the H in "Historical" at all and instead pronounce the sentence as;
"An Istorical account of the war".

That's how I was taught it over as.

Aaaanyway, avoiding my compulsive need to jump in on arguments of pronounciation...

ADHD. Personally, I find it way too over-diagnosed and in many cases parents label their children as such without any medical diagnosis.
In Britain it is harder to get drugs for it, so instead of it being something you can use to find a way to incapacitate your children, it's more of an excuse for being a bad parent.

For example, your child happens to be the one that constantly screams, throws things around and pushes over other children. Well, it's not because you failed to teach your child to be quiet inside, to respect things (Particularly those that aren't his) and to not hurt other people, it is instead because he has ADHD.
Woe is me, the world is such a hard place and I suppose I'll just leave the trouble my child causes to be dealt with by everyone else.

I was confused for a moment, because I pronounce "Historical" as
Uh
Hiss-tor-rick-cul
With an H sound, so I was confused. But, yes, you are right.

Also, I'm gonna begin pronouncing z as "Zed".
