So registration time has come around again and our schedules are due tomorrow, but I've been exploring online and apparently we offer an AP English class that we can take instead of World Literature. I'm seriously considering taking it - you get college credit and it takes the place of World Lit. It says on the description that we'd get a summer reading list and it's also a year long class, but I could probably get rid of a few electives anyway. I'm considering also taking AP American Government for no real reason, I don't plan to be a lawyer or whatever. I think it's finally time to challenge myself, I'll actually try something besides just getting by. I just don't know if I should take it or not. My schedule so far has:

Natural resources A and B, drawing/painting, maybe digital art, maybe AP AmerGov, literature of diversity, either World Lit or AP English, international foods, interior design, algebra IIC, physics A and B, and then for alternates I have Know Your Car, digital photo/airbrush, structures/systems, and sociology.

If you take the AP test in May and pass it, you get college credit...

Hmmm... opinions?

Take AP US Gov't for sure. It's a great class if you have a good teacher, no matter what your chosen career is.
AP English is good too. We have two AP English classes, so to speak: Language and Literature. I'm taking AP Language and it's helped me progress alot not only as a writer, but at brown townyzing speeches, books, etc.

Tbh i wouldn't worry about the whole college credit thing, though. The equivalent college classes will always be better (except maybe at an online school or something.. I wouldn't count on the quality of those), and you'll be older and more mature then, so you'll gain more from the courses.

I'd take the AP classes, but wouldn't "redeem" the college credit. You'll learn the most that way.

I wouldn't take AP english ever, but I sometimes regret not taking AP Calc, considering I'll be going pretty deep into Calc in college.
Also, you are in Physics but only in ALgebra 2? At my school its highly recommended that you take a trig based class(Pre-calc/calc for smart people or just trig for not smart people) before physics.

ap calc is great. best AP course imo

I dunno about either still. With AP English there's apparently a summer reading list that needs to be completed before the year it's taken and I have a hard time with will power making myself do that, especially with books, usually I find myself going to Sparknotes.

I'm not going to take an advanced math class of any sorts, math is my weakest point and come may when the AP tests roll around I won't do well. Last year when I took the Algebra II final, I swore I knew what I was doing and I ended up failing. My school offers PreCalc and Calc and other math classes but meh. I don't really know what I'm leaning towards when it comes to math, though we do have trig based classes, I was considering either PreCalc or Algebra and chose Algebra.
