So guys right now I have a Pentium 4 2.0 GHZ processor yes I know that sucks.

Friend, Ole buddy Ole pal this is where you come in to save the day. I really need to upgrade that of course. But, I don't know whats good or even what can go in there. I was thinking a 3.0 but its not much better I don't think.
I know that someone will reply buy a new PC let me just say now that I can't I really want to but I can't.

I have also attached a DXDiag thingy if that helps.

So yeah is what im asking for is maybe websites or just general help. Thanks.

Just a new processor. Sorry for not making that clear.

Try newegg/tigerdirect

Your Dell OptiPlex GX260 likely has a motherboard with a socket 478 slot on it. You can still upgrade your processor, but there is no good processor you can upgrade to.

you could get a new motherboard but you'd most likely need to change chassis as well. best thing would be to buy or build a new pc.

Thanks Otis for the socket 478 number thing. After about 2 minutes I found this.
