I will soon be buying a minecraft server for around 50 players. There will be alot of PVPing going on. How much ram would you people suggest?

Based off my overall calculations of about 3 minecraft hosting sites,
Your basic package of 50 people slots + 2000 extra Megabytes (necessary) = about 1 grand per year of 70-80 bucks a month
Why the forget would you pay that much?

EDIT: thats for a total of 7 GB
