Author Topic: Read-only files  (Read 1012 times)

That... had nothing to do with what I said.

Hmm might be true

But still, it's your decision to do or not do
And if you notice its broken you gonna make the file writable so it gets fixed

What if an update comes that updates a file and doesn't tell you that it can't write just like it does now?

All I have read-only is the window borders.
All other stuff is replaced by User Content alpha.

The fact of the matter is, making the files read-only, while being one of the easiest, is the wrong way to change textures/UI/whatever.

Like Badspot said, learn to program properly, or wait for someone who has.

Why would I wait if I have a way that works?
But I see the problem, you won't notice when a file should get updated but can't.

I like Squideey's textures, but am i the only one who doesn't mind the default textures?

I'm using Squideey's,
I don't actually mind the default except for the fact that it glows in the dark.

I don't care for how they look in the dark, but I noticed they look crap because my graphics card was in energy-save mode... gah

You can remove them when an update comes... wait there are hidden updates like the christmas thing

Uhm, what? Hidden updates?
